This CG Model # FG-019CG01 is a customized 1.9 inch cover glass, made of AGC clear white glass. The glass thickness is 1.6mm of surface hardness ≥6H. The main feature of this 1.9 inch cover glass is the customized shape with a much bigger size and an irregular shape that there is a grilling hole at the its arched bottom side, exactly tailored to the customer’s project requirement.

When a cover glass is attached to the outer surface of a touch screen or display module, it fulfills two main purposes. Firstly, it mechanically safeguards the touch and display components from potential damage. Secondly, it enhances the aesthetic appeal and decorates the product through printing with various colors, patterns, and logos.

According to customer-specific specifications, Shengfeng is capable to customize cover, encompassing aspects such as glass thickness, silkscreen printing, surface treatment, and dimensions & shape.

Thickness of Cover Glass

The recommended Cover Glass thickness is including 0.55mm, 0.7mm, 1.1mm, 1.8mm, 3mm, and 4mm. The thickness of the cover glass depends on the requirements for impact protection and general mechanical durability.

Glass strengthening Method

Glass safety is achieved through the strengthening process. The most popular methods for glass strengthening are: 

Chemical strengthening - for glass up to 3mm thick

Thermal strengthening(Physical strengthening) - for glass thicker than 3mm

Treatments for Cover Lens

Anti-Reflection (AR) – A specific coating enhancing the transmittance of light through the glass (screen) is for the purpose of reducing reflection, ultimately increasing the clarity of the display.

Anti-Fingerprint (AF) – A treatment that reduces the surface tension of the glass, making it highly hydrophobic, oil-resistant, and fingerprint-resistant. This ensures that the display glass panel maintains its clean and shiny appearance for a prolonged period.

Anti-Glare (AG) – A roughened surface on the cover lens to reduces reflection through light scattering and diffusion, minimizing glare and eye strain, thus creating a clearer and more comfortable viewing experience.
